Built on over a decade of hands-on commercial construction experience, Sligh Construction was founded to bring accurate budgets, predicatble schedules, and honest partnerships to Central Florida's building industry.
Sligh Construction was born from a lifelong connection to Central Florida. Our founder was born and raised in Lakeland, growing up in a family where construction wasn't just a career, it was a legacy. As a second-generation builder, he learned the trade from the ground up, watching firsthand what it meant to build something lasting in the community you call home.
That foundation carried him into a career spent building the region he grew up in. Over more than a decade in commercial construction, he worked his way from the field to leading complex, large-scale commercial projects, building single-family communities, multiple apartment developments exceeding 1,700 units, over 1.5 million square feet of warehouse space, and projects topping $60 million. Along the way, he developed a reputation for doing things the right way: honest numbers, realistic schedules, and a hands-on approach that never lost sight of the people the work was ultimately for.
Sligh Construction was founded to bring that same experience and standard directly to Central Florida's developers, owners, and business community. This isn't just where the company operates — it's home.
